Privacy notice
This notice covers keelprojects.ca, the marketing website. It does not cover Verinax or Ballast, which are not yet released and will carry their own notices when they are.
What this site collects
Only what you type into the waitlist form:
- your email address
- whether you ticked the box saying you are interested in Ballast as well as Verinax
Nothing else. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers, and loads no fonts, scripts, or images from anyone else’s servers. Your browser talks only to keelprojects.ca. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.
Why we collect it
To write to you once, when a seat in an early-access cohort opens. That is the only use. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add it to a marketing list. By submitting the form you are consenting to that single use, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete the address.
Where it goes
When you submit the form, the address is sent to us as an email notification and is not written to any database. We keep it only in that mailbox.
Website hosting
Cloudflare, Inc. — United States. Serves the pages and runs the small function that handles the form.
Email delivery
Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — United States. Delivers the notification containing your address.
Server logs
Cloudflare records ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use them to build any profile of you.
Processing outside Canada
Keel Projects Ltd is a Canadian company and this site is governed by Canadian privacy law, principally PIPEDA. Both service providers above are in the United States, so your email address is stored and processed outside Canada and is subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by United States authorities. We are telling you this because PIPEDA requires that transfers across borders be disclosed, not buried.
This is a deliberate choice for the marketing site, which holds nothing more sensitive than an email address. It does not set the pattern for the products: Verinax and Ballast will hold portfolio holdings and behavioural risk profiles, and hosting for those is being decided separately against a preference for Canadian or adequacy-covered providers.
How long we keep it
Until your cohort opens and we have written to you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If early access is cancelled, the list is deleted.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to admin@keelprojects.ca and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and asking costs you nothing else — deleting your address simply removes you from the waitlist.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top. Because we hold nothing but an email address and use it for one purpose, there is not much scope for it to change quietly.
